Rituals Diwali Delight Review

As I promised in my 'What I got for Christmas' post (which seems like ages ago now), here is my review (and back story) of the Rituals Diwali Delight Foaming Shower Gel Sensation.

I first sampled this when I was shopping in Barcelona; I went into Rituals with a friend looking to buy something, so I was looking around a bit but not taking a lot in. While I was waiting for my friend to buy a product a shop assistant asked if I wanted to try a product and I figured why not? As soon as I rubbed it into my hands, I loved the smell and the feel of it but didn't really think much of it at the time. For the rest of the day, every time I moved my hands fairly near my face, I could smell the amazing scent and often ended up just smelling my hands (I know it must of looked weird but it just smelt so good). Although I loved the smell, I more or less just forgot about it.

Skip forward a month or so, I found myself in Rituals again, this time with my mum as we were Christmas shopping. Whilst in the shop, I remembered the day in Barcelona and decided to look at all the red products (as that's all I could remember about it) to see if I recognised the name. Again, a shop assistant asked if I wanted to sample a product; there were two red shower gels and I couldn't think which one it was so just picked one and although it smelt nice, I was disappointed that it wasn't the scent. So to see if it was the other one, my mum sampled that one and as soon as she put it on her skin, the smell hit me and I knew it was the one. Every time she moved her hands, I could smell it. Knowing how much I loved it, my mum offered to buy it me and put it away for Christmas.

So that's how I came to find and own the product.

As I've said before, I'm not great at describing smells but I will do my best to sum up the product: It's fragrance consists of Patchouli and Cardamom, which in my opinion makes it smell quite sweet and fresh but sophisticated at the same time, it's very moisturising and soft on your skin, leaving it feeling smooth, and the scent lasts for hours afterwards.

I can honestly say that this scent is one of, if not my favourite, fragrances, I love to smell it even when I'm not using it, and it can last with me for a while. This has to be one of my favourite bath and shower products (and I like a lot of them) that I will definitely be re-purchasing. It's not the cheapest shower gel but in my opinion, it is definitely worth the money.
