August Favourites 2016

This month has been all over the place, so finding new things that I love hasn't come as naturally however, like normal, there are a few that I would like to talk about and share with you.


Rimmel Waterproof Gel Liner- This month I have been reaching for this product quite a lot- anytime I've worn black liner, it has been this one as it rubs and smudges less than my L'Oreal Superstar liner (which I do still love) and is waterproof which has been reassuring this month so I didn't need to worry too much if I sweat in the heat or let a tear drop.
NYX Roll On Shimmer- This is a recent addition to my makeup collection as I have been waiting for the local Boots store to stock NYX for months. (it's been under refurbishment and I swear I could have completed it single handedly in half the time!) I ordered two lip products online a while ago but couldn't tell the colour properly without testing them in person. After finding a different store which stocked NYX, the abundance of gorgeous products were slightly overwhelming and I struggled to decide which I wanted most but after laying my eyes on the body shimmers, I knew they needed a place in my home. I bought one initially in the shade: RES15 NUDE/DIAPHANE (I think that's the name of the shade) and have loved using it as both an eyeshadow and a bronzing highlight so would love to get my hands on some more.
NYX Waterproof Glam Liner- The other NYX product I picked up was the Glam Liner in GLA06 GLAM PINK ROSE GLAMOUR, which is a gorgeous shimmery, pink shade that can be used as an eyeliner (what a revelation, I had no idea- name that film!) or all over the lid as a sparkly (and slightly out there) but beautiful eye look.


Soul Screamers Series- This month, I finally finished reading the Soul Screamers Series. (I don't normally like to commit to series consisting of more than 3/4 books as I know I'll want to finish them all but if I don't like them, that's a lot to read! Does anyone else have this thought process?) Whilst it's not my favourite book series, I did enjoy it. I found myself plodding my way through the first half of each book and then was hooked in the second half/last third and every book seemed to be the same. I love the character of Tod and would say he's my favourite in the book but all of the others have their moments of annoyance and love (although definitely more love than annoyance!). It's a fantasy series based on fictional species, mainly bien sidhes (banshees) which I don't normally enjoy in a book (or film), I prefer a book set in the real world with real people, nevertheless it was still an enjoyable series to read.
Shrek- I'm sure we're all familiar with the Shrek films and if you're not- where the heck have you been?! They're a well loved series in a number of households, mine included and I can never pick a favourite however, despite watching the original film no end of times as a child, I hadn't watched it for at least six years until this month. My love for it was rekindled and probably even strengthened as I found myself laughing constantly, particularly at the jokes and comments I missed as a kid; the humour really does appeal to everyone, similar to Cat In The Hat (another love of mine). If you haven't seen this film for a long time, this is your reminder to go and rewatch it and then come and share the love of the film with me!
Music- There have been several songs and musicians I've enjoyed listening to this month so rather than repeating my comments about each song, as the reason for my love of all of them would probably be very similar, I'll talk generally about all of my top music favourites this month:

  • Cold Water by Major Lazer ft. Justin Bieber
  • Into You by Ariana Grande

  • Heathens by Twenty One Pilots

I've had these songs on repeat throughout August as I love the melodies and lyrics. All of which have been great shower songs either to dance along to (highly recommend My House) or to belt out the lyrics to (Ariana Grande always makes great Shower songs if you want to belt one out). Of course, the rest are songs I'd recommend for the Shower and any other part of your day too.


Beach Day- As mentioned in recent posts, things have been a bit difficult and all over the place recently so a day visiting my auntie and uncle and walking along the beach was very much needed. I had a lovely time and genuinely felt really happy and care free for a while which was a really lovely feeling and made a nice change. I'm not the biggest fan of the beach as I don't like going in the sea (I don't like what could be in the sea and not knowing what's beneath you) and I hate when sand sticks to you and is found in your shoes and clothes for weeks afterwards. However, once I'd got over the worry about what was underneath me on the sand and in the water, I did really enjoy the feeling of sand between my toes and water rippling over my feet (not that I went in very far, but definitely more than normal).

Feeling Guilty

I feel like I've done a lot of apologising on various social media platforms the past few weeks for my lack of existence on them, particularly for missing a week on YouTube. Things have been very busy and difficult recently and that's meant I've not been home much to work on my blog and especially to work on YouTube. On top of that, my mind hasn't been clear enough to come up with ideas and then execute them well. Rather than adding to the stuff already going on, some people might just take a step back and stop uploading for a little while until things are back on track... not me, I try that but it just makes me feel so guilty having not uploaded when it's supposed to be something I love that I feel as though I have to justify things or just push through and upload whatever I can. Although I do love it, it doesn't change how difficult and time consuming it can be sometimes and therefore it's not always possible for me to keep up to date, especially if I want it to remain a high standard, which I do.

I'm not entirely sure where I wanted to go with this ramble but I guess this is my apology for a lack of uploading everywhere, I'm trying to keep it all going and believe me, when I can upload I will be doing so but I'm sorry if I do miss a post or if my posts change content slightly, not that I really have one route that I stick to anyway.

I did film a video after work on Saturday night but as I didn't have my laptop with me, I couldn't check the focus throughout and so it's not done to a good standard, if I get chance to film it again and then edit it before Wednesday then I will do but if not, I'll try editing and uploading the original video, although I don't know as I'm comfortable uploading something so out of focus anyway.

A Whole Lot Of Questions Tag...

I have another tag for you today as I haven't done one for what seems like a while and I always enjoy both writing and reading them. Furthermore, I haven't had the time or inspiration to do an original post, so sorry about that but as I said, I enjoy doing and reading them anyway. This tag appealed to me in particular today as it covers a range of topics and I wasn't feeling particularly inspired by one specific topic. 

Apple juice or Orange juice?
Apple but I do love both and quite like mixing the two.

Are you a morning or night person?
A mix of both, I don't get up that early but I do like to make the most of my day by starting as early as is comfortable. I tend to get stuff done in evenings as well and go to bed fairly late, making the most of a day, as long as I get enough sleep to function at a decent level, I'll get as many hours out of a day as I can so I don't feel as though I've wasted time sleeping.

Which do you prefer: sweet or salty foods?
Salty 100%

Ninjas or Pirates?
Ninjas- I'd love to be a ninja!

Autobots or Decepticons?
I believe this refers to transformers but I don't know enough about each to decide... whichever one Bumble Bee is? If it's not that film then I have no clue whatsoever!

What was your fave childhood TV program?
Three that spring to mind immediately are: Totally Spies, Zoey 101 and Drake and Josh but I loved a whole host of them.

Are you a collector of anything?
I used to collect key rings so have quite a few now and still like to buy them from special places sometimes but I wouldn't say I collect them any more. I now collect snowglobes.

If you could be any animal, what would you be?
Maybe an owl so that I can fly and can be seen as wise.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The ability to control time.

What is usually your first thought when you wake up?
So much to do but this bed is so comfy and I'd love to drift back off or thinking back to my dream if I can remember it- trying to make sense of the ending or complete the dream in my head before it's forgotten.

What do you usually think about before falling asleep?
Things I wish would happen or fears/regrets about the day- usually stupid stuff I've said

Do you believe in E.T's or life on other planets?
Yes but not as they are portrayed... we can't be the only living beings in the universe

Do you believe in Ghosts?
Yes but not as they are portrayed

Ever been addicted to a video/computer game? Which one(s)?
Yes, the Sims- no particular edition but the game in general is so fun and addictive!

You're given 1 million dollars, what do you spend it on?
I invest it initially, pay off the mortgage for my parents (and me but I don't have to worry about that at the moment), pay for uni so I don't have to take out a loan and put some aside ready for a house.

Have any bad habits?
Picking nail varnish off when it starts to chip

Which bad habits, if any, drive you crazy?
A LOT! Loud eating, a lack of manors, slow walking, closed mindedness, leaving pots in the sink to 'soak' in manky water, leaving chairs untucked, not clearing up after yourself... I could go on!

Have any celeb crushes?
Do we have a year? (As I typed that, it instantly reminded me of Gabbie and Hobby's video, anyone else? Nope, just me? Oh well)

Name one thing you wish you could change about yourself?
To be honest, there's a lot I wish I could change but seeing as that's not going to happen, it's better to concentrate on the things I'm happy with and to learn to like the things I'm not therefore, I'm not going to list anything specific here, it just seems counter-productive.

What is the first thing you notice in the opposite sex?
Smile- is that really cliche?

What personality traits do you look for in a partner?
GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR to make me laugh and have a laugh with me
Open minded

What personality traits do you dislike in other people?
Self centeredness & selfishness
Cocky/up yourself- love yourself by all means but there's a difference between self confidence and cockiness

Are you mostly a clean or messy person?
Pretty clean, sometimes a tad untidy but not as far as messy and not very often... I don't like being in an untidy area!

Do you see yourself getting married in the next 5 years?
Probably not, I think I'd like to one day but not that soon.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I'd stay in England as I like the standard of living, climate and opportunities here but I don't have a specific area in England I'd like to live, at the moment I'd like to stay around the area I live at the moment. 

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
The number one place I'd like to go is Italy, followed by the Seychelles and New Zealand. Until recently, Rio has always been number one on my bucket list but I realised that the reasons I wanted to go- mainly for the carnivals, would actually be a nightmare for me... I don't like crowds or dancing/partying, so I may still like to go but it's less of a priority.

Go to university

Name one regret that you have?
Putting up with one sided, unhappy friendships for way too long... it's not worth it!

Name one thing you miss about being a kid?
Lack of responsibilities and therefore the chance to play and do whatever without commitments or worrying about the other stuff I should be doing.

Name one thing you love about being an adult?
Independence- ability to do what I want to do and grow as a person.

What is your fave song at the moment?
Probably Cold Water by Justin Bieber. His recent songs are amazing but I'm still not a fan of him because of the way he treats his fans and his behaviour sometimes, although that does seem to have improved so I'm open to a change of opinion if that continues.

What is your fave song of all time?
I have three all time favourites and even that's difficult to narrow down to... I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith, We Can Stand So Tall Together by The Wanted and The Climb by Miley Cyrus

What is your fave thing to do on a Saturday night?
I work most Saturday evenings so when I get home, I like to just watch something on TV or YouTube and/or read.

What is your fave thing to do on a Sunday afternoon?
I tend to do some blogging on a Sunday afternoon but also like to just relax, watching YouTube or something. 

Have any hidden talents?
I don't know as it's really a talent but I can wiggle my ears without touching them.

You're about to walk the green mile, what do you have as your last meal?
Homemade veggie lasagne followed by watermelon.

What would be your dream job?
Working on a magazine or in another, similar writing/publishing job.

What would you rather have: 100 millions pounds/dollars, or true love?
Probably 100 million dollars simply because the true love could be temporary and then nothing else would compare and regular love would still be an option.

If you could have 3 wishes granted, what would they be?
Health and happiness for my friends, family and I
Success in life particularly in education and careers
World peace- as typical as it gets but we need all the peace and harmony we can get at the moment!

Ever wish you were born the opposite sex? If yes, why?
Nope, never but I do wish everything was more equal for both sexes and that girls didn't have periods.

Getting Through A Difficult Time: 10 Ways To Destress

We all go through things at various points in our life, things that make everyday tasks a challenge. They can make us down, stressed or unenergetic and sometimes it seems like there's very little, if anything, that we can do to combat it. However, there are some simple things we can do to improve our mind set and give ourselves a chance to destress even if just for a short while. I'm guilty of forgetting to do these things as often as I should but when I do do them, I find them to be rather effective so hopefully you will too!

1. Listen to music- Sometimes you just don't feel like doing anything, so how about you have a little lie down/sit down and just put on a playlist of your choice- I know when I'm in a lowish mood, I often don't like to listen to upbeat, jolly music, which is where my 'bad day' playlist comes in. If, like me, you struggle to listen to your normal playlist, why not create one for those moments and then you have it on standby just in case.
2. Read a book, blog, magazine... anything- Reading can help to distract from whatever is going on in the real world, especially if it's fiction and you get the opportunity to live a characters life for a bit. However, sometimes I struggle to read as my mind wanders too much or I lack the energy, in which case, another activity in this post would probably be a better option. Alternatively, if reading isn't for you, why not give an audiobook I go, I personally don't like them but I know some find them great alternatives.
3. Watch a TV series or a film- Like reading, watching something can help you to escape the real world for a little bit and enjoy whatever you're watching, I find this to be the case for TV series in particular. Watching one of your favourite films can also be an instant mood lightener if you opt for a comedy or feel good film, or watching a sad film can help to release the tears you've been storing, which can also make you feel a lot better.
4. Go to the gym- Exercising can do wonders for you and your body during times of stress, especially as stress can cause you to gain weight, which is not a problem unless it is then going to cause issues regarding self esteem. Exercising can help prevent this from happening or can control the effects, plus it keeps you as healthy as possible. The endorphins released from exercise can also help to improve your mood. If you don't have a gym membership, you could always try going for a run, hike or doing a home workout. Despite the difficulty that can arise when trying to motivate yourself to go, it is worth it, even if just for twenty minutes (but I know that's easier said than done especially if you lack the time or can only go at inconvenient times).
5. Run a bubble bath and have a nice soak- There's something very relaxing and destressing about a nice, hot bath filled with a concoction of bath salts, bath soaks and bath bombs. To be able to sit and have a bit of time to yourself, enjoying the aromas and the peacefulness is a lovely thing. If the bath alone won't help, taking a book in might also make a good relaxing activity or, if you have the room, take your laptop, tablet or phone in, place it on a surface such as a chair and catch up on a TV show whilst you soak. (If you do the latter, be very careful with where you place things as electricity and water are not a great combination!)
6. Get your hands on an adult colouring book (or any other colouring book you chose) and have a colouring session- I was reluctant to try this at first as I thought the pressure to colour neatly would make it more stressful than it is relaxing but it was actually a lot better than I thought. It's not my preferred relaxing/calming activity but it's definitely a good one to try.
7. Watch YouTube- There are so many different videos and even types of videos on YouTube that there's bound to be something you'll enjoy, whether it's a daily vlog, a challenge video, a sketch or a fails video, odds are something is going to put a smile on your face and probably make you laugh... and they do say that laughter is the best medicine!
8. Write- Sharing thoughts on a blog can be quite therapeutic; linking to the quote, 'a problem shared is a problem halved'. Getting things off your chest can help lift the pressure a bit. Alternatively, writing about something you love can bring back the positive feeling towards that thing back, helping to improve your mood. Helping others by sharing some knowledge or tips can also be a mood builder. If you don't think a blog is for you but like to write anyway, you could give fiction or poetry writing a go, you may discover a hidden talent!
9. Swim- Going for a swim is an activity that I find particularly useful when I feel a bit down or stressed. The endorphins released really help improve your mood, you feel better knowing you've done some exercise and it can be quite fun. It's nice to spend time in your own bubble- if you'll pardon the pun- without much distraction from anyone/thing else, particularly if you time it right as then you can have a lane to yourself and sometimes even the pool to yourself, which is a tad intimidating but also quite refreshing.
10. Go out- Walk a pet (or just yourself), meet a friend for coffee (or another,- in my opinion- nicer drink), do some shopping, whatever you want to do to get yourself out the house and escape for a bit doing something you enjoy. Fresh air and a bit of movement could be a simple way to help yourself clear your head and destress, plus it could end up being a lot more fun than you first expected.
BONUS: Baking- Some find baking to be a relaxing activity and the pro with that is the treats you are left with afterwards. If baking is an activity you enjoy, rekindle the passion and try out a new recipe or an old favourite. Personally, I find baking to be quite stressful, which is why I've added it as a bonus rather than in my recommended ten things, but if it works for you, it's a great one to try!

10 Things I Believe...

Sorry I missed an upload this week. Without going into too much detail, it hasn't been the easiest of weeks and it's been a week with very little free time to sit and write. Hopefully things are more under control for a little while now, so I should be pretty much back to normal (I hated missing an upload) but if I do miss the odd upload in the coming weeks, I'm sorry. Anyway, this week, I wanted to share ten things I believe, covering a variety of things.
  1. If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well.
  2. Spirits/ghosts exist just not as they are portrayed.
  3. Everyone should be equal no matter their background, gender, race, sexuality, age etc.
  4. Everyone/thing is beautiful but not everyone sees it.
  5. Access to a decent standard of education for all children would solve/prevent a lot of problems (at least partially).
  6. If you are handed it, you can handle it- if you don't feel as though you can get through something or make it out the other end, you can! With a great deal of strength that you may or may not be aware you're using, you can fight your way through anything, it may just be difficult and time consuming.
  7. If you find yourself making so much more effort with someone than they do with you, they're not worth it. Wait for them to put in the effort and if they don't, it's their loss.
  8. It's okay to take some time off for yourself to make sure you're getting the best out of a situation or from life in general. Plus it definitely helps to improve your mental health.
  9. You should aim high and not be afraid that you won't meet your goals; if you work hard you'll get a good outcome at the end even if it's not what you first had in mind.
  10. There's a lot of pressure from society but ultimately, the thing that puts the most pressure on us is ourselves. Controlling these pressures from inside the mind is very difficult but it's not impossible so good luck battling through them, I know you'll beat them eventually.

Homemade Healthy (ish) Nachos

Inspired by Gabriella Lindley (velvetgh0st), I've recently been loving making and more importantly, eating homemade tortilla chips. I saw her make some in one of her vlogs and thought I'd give it a try myself. In doing so, I've also been able to experiment a bit and create a few recipes for/with them. In this post, I thought I'd share my most recent, delicious creation. These remind me of a cross between nachos and pizza (minus the tomato sauce).


Tortilla Wraps (1 or 2 per person)
Cheddar Cheese
Chilli Flakes

The ingredients are interchangeable so if you don't like something or have something you want to add (I think sweetcorn might be nice) you can easily do so. (Salsa may also make a nice accompaniment.)

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
2. Cut your tortilla wraps into triangles of whatever size you'd like.
3. Place half of the cut tortillas in an oven dish and put into the oven (avoid placing them on top of each other if possible as this makes them less likely to crisp).
4. Whilst they're in the oven, slice the coriander and mushrooms.
5. Once the tortilla chips have started to brown and crisp (8-10 minutes ish), remove them from the oven.
6. Place the coriander, mushrooms, chilli flakes and grated cheese over the layer of tortillas.
7. Put back in the oven for another 5 minutes or so until the cheese has started to melt.
8. Remove from the oven and add the last half of tortilla chips on top of the melted cheese, again try to avoid layering them on top of one another if possible to ensure optimum crisp).
9. Put back into the oven for approximately 8-10 minutes or until they have started to brown and crisp.
10. Remove from the oven and add a bit more grated cheese, chilli flakes and coriander.
11. Place back in the oven for about five minutes or until the dish is cooked to the level you would like.
12. Remove from the oven and serve.

I think these would be great with a Mango salsa like the one featured in this post or with a spicy tomato salsa. They are also great for one person or for a gathering.

If you would like to create some tortilla crisps on their own, you can do that by simply completing steps one to three and just baking them until they reach the golden, crisp stage you are after.

July Favourites 2016

Having had a month off, I've been able to use and discover several new things this month or rediscover items, so I have quite a few favourites to share with you!


L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base Primer- I've never particularly noticed a difference between the quality and length of time my foundation lasts with and without a primer until this one. I've still tended to use them as they seem to make the application easier but the L'Oreal Infallible primer is the only one I've noticed a big difference in. It makes my makeup go on smoothly, gives it a mattified look which I definitely prefer and it makes my makeup last so much longer. After a few hours I always notice foundation rubbing off my face and leaving patches but this primer helps to combat this; I won't say it stops it all together but I definitely notice a difference on the days I forget to apply it.
L'Oreal False Lash Superstar Mascara Red Carpet- You may remember me mentioning the L'Oreal False Lash Superstar mascara on multiple occasions last year and although I didn't stop loving it, I stopped mentioning it so that I could put emphasis on new things I've been loving. Not technically breaking my own rule of new things only as this one is the Red Carpet mascara which is extra black I believe and although I haven't noticed a huge difference in the colour or strength of black, it does make my lashes look so much longer, more volumised and overall so much better than anyother mascara. This is 100% my go to mascara and I've never found one I like as much as the as it gives me the perfect eye look.
Calvin Klein CK2 Perfume- Last month my parents went on a cruise and kindly bought my brother and I some presents back. Amongst the presents was a travel set of Calvin Klein perfume which meant I could give a few different ones a go and possibly purchase the full size bottle in the future. I love all of the scents but the one I reach for most often and absolutely adore the scent of is CK2.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- Towards the end of this month, I've been trying to wear less makeup, particularly face/base makeup as I want to try and allow my skin to breathe more to hopefully improve the quality of it for now and for the future. It seems to be heading in the right direction so hopefully by sticking to this for a few weeks/months I can feel more confident without makeup or with less makeup and can improve my skin. The collection concealer has been a favourite of mine for a while now but it had been particularly useful recently as it's easy to blend without the use of a primer or foundation. It covers blemishes and under eye darkness nicely whilst still looking quite natural and bare faced.
E45 Moisturising Lotion- I have been using this as a face moisturiser the past month or so and it has really made a difference to the softness of my skin. It rubs in nicely and immediately afterwards I can feel my skin benefiting from the hydration and generally feeling really soft. Not only does it have a short term benefit but it also seems to improve the quality of my skin in the long run. As soon as my cleansers have been used up, I will also be trying the E45 cream as a cleanser as that's supposed to be effective for blemished skin so hopefully that will have as positive an effect.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish- As I briefly mentioned above, I'm trying to use up my cleansers and moisturisers as I have a couple on the go and want to get them finished before I buy any new ones and stick to one product. (I have several on the go because I was trying to find the best one for my skin but most seem to give a similar effect anyway). In trying to use them up, I found that I had more in my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish than I realised and remembered just how much I love it. It gets rid of so much dirt and makeup, feels great when applying it and leaves my skin feeling really soft.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer- This has been my go to cheek product for a long time but as it's got to Summer, I've found it to be especially useful in creating a bronzer, more Summery look, through contouring and general bronzing. It blends really nicely as you've probably heard multiple times and it's really well pigmented.
Benefit Gimme Brow- I have a little sample of this that I got in the Glamour magazine and although they only had two shade options, the lightest one was a perfect match for my brows. The tone is quite ashy which I much prefer in brow products and it's so easy to use whilst creating quite a natural, filled in brow look. I am definitely considering purchasing a full size version once I've used this up.
Skirts- I am not the biggest fan of jeans at all, I much prefer leggings, skirts and dresses but recently I've been loving skirts even more than normal. I think they're really cute for Summer and I've frequently found myself reaching for a skirt and leggings over trousers.


Money Marlow- My friend Poppy started a blog this month entirely dedicated to money. It's so easy to read and follow and is full of really useful tips. As it's written from a students point of view, it's easy for students to follow and relate to their lives, so if you want a bit of advice regarding spending and saving money, I highly recommend checking it out and giving it a follow. It's also written in a friendly, humorous way which makes it entertaining as well as informative.
Eve Bennett Vlogs- I've really been loving vlogs recently, some I've watched and enjoyed more than main channel videos and one person I've loved watching in particular is Eve Bennett. I always enjoy her videos but love her vlogs that little bit more. As she's been daily vlogging, I've found myself looking forward to her videos and when I miss a day, I always go back and catch up before watching the new video. I don't know what it is about her but I enjoy her content whatever she does.
Megan Jane- Megan's videos often crack me up especially her rants or storytimes as she tells them in a really entertaining way. I've particularly enjoyed her uni related videos which have been quite insightful and interesting as someone heading off to uni soon. If you've never come across her videos before, I recommend checking them out! (Side note: I have a video on my pet peeves going up tomorrow, which I planned to do before I had launched my channel but had got my first few videos planned and filmed ready. I didn't intend on copying Megan's video from a few weeks ago but obviously it could look that way. However watching her video did make me want to do it sooner rather than later.)
YouTube- If you didn't already know, I started a YouTube channel at the end of June so I've enjoyed working on that throughout July. I upload weekly on a Wednesday as well as my two blog posts a week so if you want to check it out, you can do so here.
Five Grand- I couldn't not put this in my monthly favourites as it makes me proud and although it's incredible weird to see, it's something I'm sure we'll have to get used to... My brother recently starred in this short film and it's pretty darn funny. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you check it out, it does contain a lot of strong language but it's very entertaining to watch.


Floral DIY Photo Frame- I won't go into too much detail about this one as I did a whole post on it but I have loved having this in my room and have received quite a few compliments on this from blog posts and my videos, so thank you to everyone who commented on that. Kinder Scout- This is a favourite this month as I enjoyed the experience and am proud of what we managed to achieve as it's a lot more than I normally do and what I thought I was capable of. If you want to read my rambly post on that, you can check it out here.
Le Bistrot Pierre- I had a lovely meal out in July with my french class and was amazed by the quality of the restaurant and the food. Post about that here.
Watermelon- I couldn't not mention watermelon now that it's got to Summer! It is one of my favourite foods, if not my favourite, and I have definitely eaten my fair share (and more) this month.
Mango Salsa- I have been obsessed with this Salsa as it tastes so fresh, sweet, tangy and delicious. It makes a great accompaniment to so many Summery dishes so if you want to see how I made that, you can view my Summer Salads Recipe post here.
