New Year Haul

It's probably no surprise that I enjoy sales given how much I enjoy shopping so of course I treated myself to a few things from the 'Boxing Day' sales, the New Year sales and a few things that I picked up whilst in Germany.

Superdrug:
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation- For a long time now I've heard various bloggers and vloggers mention this foundation and one of my friends, Abi's, foundation always looks amazing so when I found out that this was the foundation she uses, I knew I had to give it a go. I've been wearing this pretty much every day since Boxing Day and whilst I really like it, I don't think it's as good as the Max Factor one for my skin at the moment as I need a slightly heavier coverage. However, it smells lovely, feels really nice when you apply it to your skin and lasts quite well. (£9.99)
Bourjois Intense Extrait Sand Pink Shimmer 03 Eyeshadow- I have been eyeing up this eyeshadow for several months and each time I've talked myself out of it as it's always been an impulse buy as I pass it on the shelf however, I figured after waiting so long, I could treat myself to it. It is a gorgeous shimmer eyeshadow which creates a more obvious shimmer look than many other shimmer eyeshadows which I think adds a nice touch to any look. The subtle pink colour means it's great for adding to quite a natural look but could also go quite nicely over other shades as well. (£6.99)
Bourjois Nail Polish Remover- I heard Gabbie talk about this product in one of her videos and based on what she had said, I was interested in trying it for myself so when I realised Bourjois had a three for two sale and I'd already picked up two products, I figured it was the perfect time to try it. I haven't actually had nail varnish on since buying it so I can't yet comment on the quality of it yet. (£4.99)
Miss Sporty Perfect Stay Liquid Concealer- Again, I saw this in a couple of Gabbie's videos and seeing as she seemed to really like it and the fact that it's pretty much half the price of my normal concealer, I thought I'd give it a go so that I have a cheaper concealer alternative for the future. I've used it a couple of times and so far I think it's a good concealer but I wouldn't purchase it over Collection Lasting Perfection. (£2.99)

Primark:
Make Up Brush Cleaner £1.50- I'm going to hold my hands up now and admit that I do not clean my brushes as often as I should do... I did get better towards the end of last year and did them almost once a month but I want to make sure I keep on top of cleaning them. To help with this, I bought this spray brush cleaner which I plan to use weekly in between washes just to keep them in better condition.
Hair Grips £1.50- I've been after some butterfly clips for a long time now but it's something I always forget about until I'm back home wishing I had some. Whilst browsing the accessories in Primark the hair pieces caught my eye and reminded me that I wanted some so I was able to choose these really cute ones.

Deichmann:
Memory Foam Insole Trainers £24.99- New trainers are another thing I've been after for a while. I actually bought some in October but they didn't fit properly so I returned them but never looked for a replacement pair. Whilst browsing Deichmann (which is my favourite place for shoes as they do sizes that fit my wide feet better than most others), I spotted these little beauties and when I tried them on, they were far more comfortable than I ever imagined them to be and they look really pretty which makes me want to wear them more and therefore want to exercise more.

Body Shop:
Tea Tree Foaming Cleanser, Tea Tree Toner and Tea Tree Face Moisturiser £14- I believe I've mentioned this a couple of times on here already but for the past couple of months, my skin hasn't been in very good condition at all and just seems to keep breaking out. I really hate when my skin is like this and it really causes my confidence to drop so I'm trying my best to clear it up and as Body Shop tea tree products have helped in the past, I wanted to try some more to see if they would help. At first, they seemed to help a bit but now my skin seems to be almost as bad as before I started using them again so I'm going to continue using them as they make my skin feel great anyway and try eliminating other products to see if it's something that is causing my skin to react this way.
Moisturiser £9
Toner £5.50
Cleanser £5.50

Poundland:
Barry M Gold Dust- Over the Christmas period, there seemed to be a lot of eye looks with glitter which looked amazing. Each time I've been shopping, I've had a brief look for something similar and so when I saw the gold Barry M Dazzle Dust in Poundland, I thought I'd try it. It's not as obviously glittery as I'd have liked but it is useful for adding extra shimmer to an eye look. (£4,59)
Maybelline Color Show Nudes Nail Varnish in Bronze Me Up- Before Christmas, I was at my best friend's house and whilst watching Arthur Christmas, we painted our nails Christmassy. I chose to do mine silver and gold and found two gorgeous sparkly top coats in those colours which made my nails look awesome. Whilst shopping on Boxing Day, I had a quick look for these nail polishes (No7) but had no luck. Fortunately, I spotted this copper colour sparkly top nail varnish by Maybelline which looked almost identical apart from the colour. (£3.99)

Germany:
Maybelline Colour Tattoo Pink Gold and On and On Bronze- The Colour Tattoos are another beauty product I've heard a lot about but it's taken me until now to actually get one myself. I originally planned on buying one but I couldn't pick between these two shades and I'm very happy I bought them both as they are both stunning. They don't feel at all heavy on your eyes which I'm pleasantly surprised by. (£4.99)
Maybelline Brow Satin Dark Blonde- I forgot to take my brow satin to Germany (actually I accidentally picked up the one that had run out which I should have thrown away before) so after a couple of days using a powder, I decided to just buy myself a new one as nothing compares to it. (£5.99)
Max Factor Face Finity 3 in 1- This was my favourite concealer towards the end of the year and as my bottle had almost ran out, I decided to pick up a new one. (£12.99)
Gold Hoop Earrings- Last but not least, I saw a pretty pair of gold hoop earrings in Bijou Brigitte which I loved from the moment I lay eyes on them and since getting back from Germany, they have been my favourite earrings to wear. They are quite small which makes them good for a day time look as well as for an evening occasion.

  1. What a lovely haul, you got so many great things! I'm 90% certain that the nail polish is exactly the same as the one I picked up in Poundland too, it's a lovely colour isn't it?! They had quite a few Maybelline products in! The primark brush cleaner is so affordable and I needed something to use during the week as well :)

  2. Thank you! It really is. I love browsing the beauty products in poundland and other bargain stores as you can always find some lovely beauty products at a fraction of the price. It seems to have worked quite well on my brushes so far so I'd recommend it and it is such a good price- you can't really go wrong :D X
