July Favourites 2015

Welcome to another Monthly Favourites post :) This month you will see a number of products, particularly beauty related, which have been featured in a blog post over the past month or so, whether it's from my June Favourites (here) or my Summer Essentials 2015 (here), however there are also a few new items on there for you to feast your eyes upon. So without further ado, here is my July Favourites 2015...

Beauty
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush- I have been wanting to try a Real Techniques brush for ages now and despite hearing countless good reviews of the product, I never expected it to be as good as it is. I bought the expert face brush which is great for both concealer and foundation, and could even be useful for powder if you were travelling and were low on space. It makes my make up glide onto my skin a lot easier, giving a smoother finish. It also allows me to build up my base so that it can be as thin or thick as I like, depending on the condition of my skin and what I'm doing that day. I will definitely be purchasing some other Real Techniques brushes in the future.

Maybelline Brow Satin Eyebrow Pencil- As I'm sure you'll know by now, I am a huge fan of this product, it makes my eyebrows look so much better than anything else I've tried, which then makes my whole make up look look a lot better. It's the right shade for my skin tone and hair colour, it's easy to shape and define my brows, and can be built up for a heavier make up look.

L'Oreal Paris False Lash Superstar Mascara- Again, I'm sure you'll know how much I love this product, it is by fair my favourite mascara to use, making my lashes look so much longer, fuller and more volumised than any other I've tried. For a more detailed review, you can click here.

Collection Long Lasting Perfection- Another product I have mentioned before, this concealer is perfect for what I want, it brightens up my under eyes, it has a fairly high coverage without being too thick or heavy, it lasts a long time, and it's easy to apply.

Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Primer- This eye primer has been so useful the past month for making my eyeshadow last a lot longer and look more pigmented. It has been particularly useful in the hot weather, which if you live in England, you'll know soon disappeared. I never realised how much difference a primer made to make up until trying this and I can definitely see the issues when I don't put it on now.

Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette- As I mentioned in my Summer Essentials 2015 post, I love this eyeshadow palette and have particularly loved the shades Strike, Radar and Ambush, which have been perfect for creating a gold eyeshadow look which a number of people have told me they liked.

Music
5 Seconds of Summer- Like last month, I have really been loving 5 Seconds of Summer and have been listening to them so much this past month. I've also enjoyed watching interviews with them and have just generally been loving the band and the music.

She's Kinda Hot by 5 Seconds of Summer- The latest single to be released by the band is amazing; when I heard it for the first time, I was a little unsure but by the second, third, twentieth play and so on, I loved it. The music itself (guitars, drums etc) are so good and make the song stand out from some of the other popular songs at the moment. The vocals are brilliant; I particularly like the comments made throughout the song- they're just an itty bitty little bit hot!

Flashlight- I couldn't not put this song in my favourites again, I've loved this song as much this month as the previous month. It's a song that I cannot resist singing along to whenever it comes on.

Pitch Perfect 2 Soundtrack- I love pretty much all of the songs on this soundtrack and find them particularly great for Summer. If you haven't heard any of them yet or seen the film I recommend giving the songs a listen.

Other
Pretty Little Liars- We're just less than two weeks away from coming face to face with A, and I for one can't wait. Season 6 has been incredible; a lot darker and more tense than the previous seasons, and I love it... However as much as I want to know who A is, I also don't as I enjoy trying to work things out and complete the puzzle that is Rosewood.

Life With a Sprinkle of Glitter- I really loved this book; it is quite possibly the most aesthetically pleasing book I have come across, the writing style is brilliant and it truly made me laugh out loud countless number of times, If you're interested in finding out what else I enjoyed about the book, you can find me review here.

Primark- Primark is a shop I find has either nothing I like or has everything I like and for the past couple of months, it has been the latter; so many of my purchases recently have been from that shop and I am so happy with all of them, so I couldn't miss Primark out of my monthly favourites!

22 Jump Street- This film has got to be one of my all time favourites; it's hilarious. I liked the first film but the second film just blows the other one out of the water, it is one of the funniest films I've ever seen and I could watch it over and over again. I also love the actors in it and I think the jokes and comments they come up with are brilliant. I have seen this film many times before but after watching it again this month, I had to make it one of my favourites.

Gabby 'Honesty' Video- This is a video I recommend everyone watches, whether you're a fan of Gabby or not, and if you are one of the people that sends Gabby hate, I definitely advise you to watch it. It made me so proud of Gabby to see her be so open with her viewers and explain some of the things people have been questioning her about. I love Gabby and also get so annoyed by the amount of unnecessary hate she gets as nobody deserves it, and it's usually over the stupidest of things! I really hope people see this video and think a little bit more before they send Gabby or anyone else for that matter hate, it really shows that you don't know what someone else's life is like and how they are affected by the things you say. If you are one of those people, please think a little bit more about what you are saying to someone and how that is going to affect them, if you think it will have a negative affect then just don't say it.

Runa- Runa is one of my best friends and is more like a sister to me than a friend, but she lives in Germany which means I only get to see her maybe once a year, However, she is staying with me at the moment and the past week or so that she's been here has been amazing; there have been so many funny moments and some amazing memories created that I hope to always remember.

Nippon- An unfortunate name I know, but these are delicious. Runa bought them over from Germany for me because she knows how much I love them; they are similar to rice crispies covered in chocolate and have a similar texture to popcorn. If you ever get the chance to try one I recommend, it.

That completes my July Favourites, I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know some of your favourites in the comments below and I'll be sure to check them out.

Love, Steph x
