June Favourites 2015

Hiya,

I have my June Favourites 2015 for you today...

Beauty

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation- I did a review on this product which you can find here if you want more information, but to summarize, this foundation has a medium to high coverage; it covers redness and blemishes, it's fairly long lasting and the nozzle is easy to use so that the right amount comes out; not too much or too little.

Collection Long Lasting Perfection Concealer- I've heard so many fantastic reviews of this concealer but I've never actually tried it until now. I was definitely not disappointed by this; it has a good, high coverage, it's easy to apply and blend and as the title suggests, it is long lasting.

Calvin Klein Euphoria Shower Gel- This shower gel smells incredible; I have and love the perfume but have only started regularly using this product this month as I've had others open to use. I love the smell and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft afterwards.

Diwali Rituals Delight- This is another product that smells amazing! It has scents of Patchouli and Cardamom and is one of my favourite scents to exist, it's very moisturising and soft on your skin, leaving it in lovely condition after using it. I did a post on this a while back, which you can find here.

Maybelline Brow Satin- This is another product I have recently reviewed (here) but to put it simply, it s easy to apply and get a good shape, it's good for anyone with light eyebrows like me (I have the shade dark blond) and it fills them in really nicely. If anyone does have light brows and struggles finding a brow product, I'd recommend you give this one a go (or if you have any other suggestions, let me know, I'd love to hear them).

Hand Food by Soap & Glory- As I mentioned in my Summer Wishlist 2015 post (here), I love this hand cream; it is easily one of my favourites if not my favourite. It smells incredible, it leaves your hands feeling really silky and soft without leaving any sticky feeling behind. TIP: As you can see from this photo, I do something a little bit different with my beauty products when they're running low. Whenever a product appears to have run out, I cut it in half and that way I can get a lot more out of it and trust me, it lasts so much longer than you think it will. You can then slide the top half over the bottom half to keep it fresh as I've shown in this photo. Voila! (For this amazing tip, I have to thank Louise (sprinkleofglitter), it has come in handy no end, however I can't remember which video it was from to link it for you).

YouTube

Hey USA- I watched a couple of Hey USA season 1 episodes this month and loved them; they were absolutely hilarious and made me love Mamrie Hart, who I've never properly watched before. Hey USA is a show where Mamrie and another YouTube guest (it was Grace Helbig in season 1) go to different states and try different activities, and of all of the episodes I've watched so far, I've laughed no end. If you want to try watching an episode, I'd recommend watching the one with Colleen Ballinger in San Francisco (part one is particularly hilarious). You can find that here.

Exposing Shane and Joey: The Truth Comes Out by Sawyer Hartman- This video was another one I found hilarious, I don't know what to say other than watch this (here) and you will see why I found it so funny. I particularly recommend from 4 minutes 30 to about 5 minutes, which literally made me cry with laughter.

Something I Want You To Know (Coming Out) by Ingrid Nilsen- This video made me cry (and not with laughter this time) to see how difficult it was for Ingrid and to see how happy it made her to be able to be honest about who she is. I think this video is very positive and inspiring for any young viewers that could be going through a similar thing and that need the confidence to come out.

Music

Flashlight by Jessie J and the Pitch Perfect Barden Bellas' version- I am obsessed with this song, both Jessie J's version and the Pitch Perfect Barden Bellas' version. It is a lovely song that I definitely recommed you check it out if you haven't already.

5 Seconds Of Summer Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour- On the 5th June, I went to see 5 Seconds of Summer, which was an incredible experience. If you don't already know, 5SOS are one of my favourite bands so to see them live after being a fan for a couple of years was amazing. I loved the whole set and really can't pick a favourite song as they were all brilliant. Despite all of this, my overall experience was spoilt slightly as we didn't have very good seats which I wouldn't have minded had I selected them and known in advance, but there was a complication with Ticketmaster which I still don't really have an explanation for, and as a result, I'm not planning on using Ticketmaster for tickets again. However the concert itself was amazing.

5 Seconds Of Summer- Since seeing them live, I've also been watching more of their interviews and videos and as a result my love for them has grown so that I am now an even bigger fan. The positives and negatives to being a fangirl!

Close As Strangers by 5SOS- I don't know how, but it's taken me absolutely ages to discover this song by them, it was among two or three others that I'd never heard before but after listening to and loving them all, I replayed Close As Strangers over and over again and it is now one of my favourite songs by them, which says a lot because I love them all.

Other

Pitch Perfect 2- This film was hilarious and brilliant! I loved the first film but this one was even better, with better songs, funnier jokes and an amazing cast. If you like comedies, I would 100% recommend you check this out.

David Lloyd Gym- Recently I've been loving going to the gym, which is something I never thought I'd say. I've had more time to do it and after it's had a refurbishment, it's been even better so I've found myself going more regularly and actually enjoying doing it.

Jolly Rancher Chews- These were my favourite sweets I tried on my trip to Florida last year and the other day I found some for £1 in b&m bargains so I had to get a box and have a few. As I loved them so much, I had to put them in my favourites!

Arizona Iced Tea With Lemon Flavour- This was another American product I found in b&m bargains which I love. Ice Tea is one of my favourite drinks and the Arizona one is no exception; it tastes delicious but is usually really expensive, so I was very happy when I found this for 89p.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson- I loved reading this book; it was very insightful, thought provoking, funny and entertaining in general. If you want a more detailed review on this, you can find it here.

Love, Steph x
